About us
The British High Commission represents the British Government in its relations with the Botswana Government and promotes British interests in Botswana.
- The Press and Public Affairs Section is responsible for presenting and promoting the UK and British Government policy in Botswana. The section issues press releases and arranges media interviews for visiting British Government Ministers. It can provide news and background material about British policies on national and international issues.
- The Political Section is responsible for political relations between the UK and Botswana Governments. They monitor the political situation in Botswana and seek to strengthen the bilateral relationship
- The Consular Section looks after the interests of British nationals living in, or visiting Botswana. Details can be found on the Help for British Nationals page.
- The Visa Section operates as the visa application centre, accepting visa applications and enrolling applicants' biometrics prior to BHC Pretoria processing the applications.
- The Management Section is responsible for all human and financial resources of the High Commission.
